Scott Allen (Hub Chief of Party) and Graham Johnson (Customs Advisor) briefed the US ambassador to Burundi, Ms. Patricia Moller at USAID/REDSO offices in Nairobi.

The presentation highlighted the ECA AGCI Hub's activities along the Northern Corridor, the COMESA Regional Bond Guarantee Scheme and the IT Corridor. There was also discussion with respect to the importance of Burundi ratifying the COMESA Bond Scheme agreement, as well as the role that Burundi can play within, and how she can benefit from, the Northern Corridor.

Mr. Johnson explained the workings of a One-Stop Border Post, an achievement that is important to developing customs processes and procedures in Burundi, and how the country can be linked to the IT corridor that the Hub is working on.
